One of the biggest problems facing the dieter today is mindless eating yet this barrier can be crashed through by learning and applying 3 simple steps. This article shares how to destroy mindless eating and unlock the key to successful weight loss.

Becoming a more mindful eater is often overshadowed by eating tips and exercise strategies that promise to strip off the pounds yet when you learn to eat more mindfully you will find that you naturally eat less food and that you are more keenly aware of the flavors of foods which helps you effortlessly make better eating decisions.

Below you will find the 3 simple steps that you can learn today to become a mindful eater.

1. Avoid distractions while you eat. At least until you become comfortable with eating in a mindful way you will want to turn off distractions by turning off the TV, radio and computer.

2. You were given 5 senses - use them! The more senses you use when eating the more focused your awareness becomes. Take the time to look at your food, notice it's aroma, listen to how it sounds as you bite into it and how it feels as it moves around your mouth and then at last you can pay attention to how it tastes.

3. Chew and swallow every bite completely. When you take a bite of food chew it until it is completely chewed and then swallow every morsel before putting another bite of food in your mouth.

The often overlooked key to successful weight loss is to become a more mindful eater, this allows you to naturally eat less and lose weight without effort. Follow these 3 steps the next time you sit down to eat.
